Liv Bakes Co.

Terms of Service

By placing an order with Liv Bakes Co. you agree to the terms below. These terms are here to keep things clear and fair for both of us.

Orders & lead times

All standard cake orders require at least 1 week notice. For custom cakes we suggest reaching out as soon as possible — the more time the better — but we can typically turn around custom orders in 2–3 weeks.

Orders are only confirmed once payment (or a deposit, for custom orders) has been received.

Payment & deposits

Purchases made through the website require full payment upfront at checkout.

For custom orders, a deposit is taken to book in your date, with the balance due 2 weeks prior to your collection date. If your order is booked within 2 weeks of the collection date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

All payments are processed through the website.

Cancellations & refunds

If you have not yet received your cake and need to cancel:

  • 5 or more days prior to your selected date — full reimbursement.
  • 3 days prior to your selected date — 50% reimbursement.
  • Less than 3 days — unfortunately no refund can be provided.

If you have received your cake and would like a refund, we require the cake to be returned so we can investigate the issue. If the whole cake has been consumed, a refund cannot be provided.

Collection & delivery

Collection is from our home kitchen in Winter Valley, VIC 3358. Full collection details and time windows will be confirmed once your order is booked.

Delivery can be arranged if we have the availability and notice. A quote will be provided based on your location — please reach out as early as possible if you require delivery.

Custom cakes & design

Cake decorating is an art form, made by humans, and cannot be exactly replicated. We will never copy an exact photo provided to us, especially if it is someone else's work. We use inspiration images as a guide only — colours, details and overall design may vary from the reference.

Every cake is unique. Small variations in colour, texture and finish are part of the handmade nature of what we do.

Allergens & dietary requirements

We may be able to cater to some dietary requirements, but please note that we work out of a home kitchen and there will always be traces of allergens — including gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts and soy.

Our products are not suitable for anyone with a severe allergy. It is the customer's responsibility to notify us of dietary needs at the time of ordering and to inform anyone consuming the cake of possible allergens.

Cake care & storage

Your cake should be stored in the fridge until an hour or two before serving. A cake care card will be provided with your order. Once the cake has left our care, we are not responsible for any damage caused by transport, storage or handling.

Photos & intellectual property

We reserve the right to photograph any cake or product we make and use those images on our website, social media and marketing materials. We will always wait until after you have collected your order before posting.

If you would prefer we don't share images of your specific cake, please let us know at the time of ordering.
